Today’s Golden Key! “Arriving at your dreams!”
You know the power of your dreams and goals! You know that as you’ve gotten clear, focused and committed, you have created amazing results!
So, now that you’re living toward your dreams, how’s it going? Everyone talks about getting motivated to go toward our dreams and the importance of taking the steps but few people talk about what to do when you’ve arrived.
As you may have heard me say in the past, “desiring” and “having” are two very different experiences. The energy of longing and not getting or longing and being in the process of getting or creating…has a pull to it, a momentum, a sense of movement.
The energy of “having” or “achieving” is very different. It is celebratory, it is peaceful. It is content. It is a feeling of accomplishment. Some people are able to stop there, to deeply enjoy the fruits of their labor, to breathe and to find contentment in the manifestation. For those who have been longing or striving for much of their lives, enjoying the destination with inner peace and joy may require some practice.
For others, the arrival at one destination marks the beginning of another journey, perhaps immediately or after a time of rest.
I think the thing to ask ourselves is this: “Am I living in joy on this road?” “Am I working toward something that matters to me?” “Am I enjoying the journey?” The old adage: “It’s not the destination but the journey” comes to mind. Yes, the destination is what leads to the journey, but the journey is where everything is learned, where we are tested, where we overcome challenges and it is in the journey where we truly achieve what we aim to achieve. The destination is merely a finish line of one journey which leads to the next.
And… as we embark on each new journey or new adventure toward our desired goals, we learn along the way. This is why it is wise to keep tweaking and tuning our desires to keep our path aligned with our hearts. You came here to have fun! You came here to experience wondrous things! You came here to play. Let go of taking it all so seriously. Let go and find the fun! Your 90-year-old self will thank you.
